Hello dear reader
Thanks for stopping by

Carole Marples writes British cozy mysteries with humour, heart, and plenty of murder.
Her series, The Merang Mysteries, follows Helen Merang, a celebrated Yorkshire tea room owner and amateur sleuth. Helen has a knack for uncovering secrets and scandals while serving cake and tea.
Each book blends British wit, quirky characters, and a classic whodunit twist. They capture the charm and eccentricity of Yorkshire small-town life, where gossip travels faster than the local bus and there’s always a mystery brewing.
Carole’s twisty culinary mysteries are perfect for readers who enjoy the small-town settings of Richard Osman,
the British charm of MC Beaton,
and the food-themed puzzles of Joanne Fluke.
That's according to my Amazon bio, but here's a bit more about me ...
At a young age, I moved on from Enid Blyton to Agatha Christie and never looked back. And despite a fondness for Jane Austen and P.G. Wodehouse, crime fiction will always be my passion.
For years, I wondered if I could write a novel. After selling my confectionery shop and tea room in 2016, I'd no excuse not to try. Merangs became my substitute shop.
P.S. My old shop is still going strong, but to the best of my knowledge, there have been no murders.
